Tandem Axle Spring Hanger Spacing Recommendation for # APT9

Question:

A Person Asked what the hanger spacing is using APT9 kit, and 25-1/4inch springs. The answer doesnt clearly indicate the use of the equalizers, It Sounds like the hanger spacing is 29-1/2inch bolt hole center to bolt hole center, . Taking into account the 7-3/4inch equalizers, what is the Hanger spacing? Thanks for clearing my head on this matter

The hanger spacing needed for use with the # APT9 is 29-1/2 inches measured on center of the bolt holes. This works well with the equalizer since it's length (7-3/4 inches) is split on each side of the equalizer.

When you add half of the equalizer to the length of your spring (25-1/4 + 3-7/8) you end up right at 29-1/4 inches which would work out perfectly.
