Recommended Front Mounted Trailer Hitch for a 2002 Chevy Express Van

Question:

Re a front mounted hitch for our 2002 Chev. Express Van. We will be in Kissimmee, Florida for the winter and was wondering if you could suggest an installer for the Curt C31016 or the Drawtite 65016.

The front mounted hitch I recommend is the Curt # C31016. It is a corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver and you can add many hitch mounted accessories. It has a very precise robotic welding which maximizes it's strength and durability. Trimming of front air dam or fascia may be required for hitch installation.

The Draw-Tite # 65016 you also referenced is no longer available.

The # C31016 has a square tube, 500 pounds vertical pull and 9000 pounds line pull. It is corrosion resistant and has an easy, bolt on installation without having to do any welding. The Curt front mounted hitch has a gloss black powder coat finish and looks really nice.

A front mount relocation license plate bracket part # 5443 is a nice addition as it's steel and will hold up against rust and corrosion. Because you will be adding a front mounted trailer hitch, relocating your license plate may be a necessity.
