To install a fifth wheel trailer in your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 with an 8 foot bed let's first start with an installation kit. I would recommend a custom install kit over a universal kit as they will install in about half the time and minimize drilling. For that I would recommend the part # RP50064-58. Check out the install video I attached.
A great hitch at a great price that would work well and have plenty of capacity check out the part # RP30928. This hitch has a 20k capacity and a single jaw to provide excellent king pin contact. Check out the review video I attached.
You referenced a Sidewinder part # RP34FR. Since you have a long bed you would not need one of these to make tight turns. Typically these are used on trucks with bed lengths under 6 feet.
