Amazon would be incorrect. When a company sells everything, they rarely know much about the products. Curt trailer hitch # C12083 does indeed fit your 2015 Acura RDX. I even verified this with Curt, the manufacturer.

If you go with the Curt Class II trailer hitch, # C12083, then the correct ball mount to use is # C45521. On a Class II hitch you have to use the ball mount indicated by the hitch manufacturer or it voids the hitch warranty. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256. And for a 2 inch ball use # 19258.

If you will be using the hitch for something like a bike rack or cargo carrier then you will need one that fits a 1-1/4 inch receiver if using this Curt hitch. And Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for non-trailer loads.

That is why I recommend going with a Class III hitch # 75784 with a 2 inch receiver. You won't have to use that strap for bike racks or cargo carriers. And the 2 inch receiver is compatible with more accessories than the 1-1/4 inch.

If you go with a Class III hitch then I recommend ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin and clip, and storage bag.
