The lightest carrier we offer that has the biggest shank rise and will fit hitches that are either 1-1/4 or 2 inches is the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18110. This carrier has a 3-3/4 inch shank rise.
Since this will fit both Class ll and Class lll hitches, this may work well for your 2013 Kia Sorento. This carrier weighs only 30 lbs and has a weight capacity of 300 lbs.
If you want to secure the carrier to the vehicle hitch, I recommend a Hitch Receiver Lock, part # 2866DAT. This will work with both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitch receivers, and comes with 2 keys. I have attached a product review video you can check out.
If you are interested in a cargo net for the carrier I recommend part # C18200. this stretchable cargo net measures 38 x 44 inches and has several plastic hooks that helps secure the cargo net to the carrier.
We also offer a bungee cord assortment, part # EM06623. This kit features 6 different length bungee cords that helps keep everything secure.
You will want to make sure any accessory you attach to the hitch on you Sorento clears the rear bumper so I have attached a helpful article that explains how you can take that measurement.
Many of the products we offer do not have speed limits posted, but you should always travel within the speed limit for overall safety.
