Choosing a ball mount requires knowing what rise or drop you need to keep your trailer and vehicle level. The easiest way to do this is to park your vehicle and trailer on level ground and take some measurements. First measure from the ground to the the inside top edge of the receiver tube on the hitch. Then measure from the ground to the bottom edge of the trailer coupler. If the trailer coupler is taller than you need a rise to make up the difference. If the vehicle is taller, you need a drop.
I have included a link to a help page about how to calculate the proper rise and drop for any given setup. Most of our CRV customers order our 2-3/4 inch rise/4 inch drop ball mount, part # 2753.
