Question:

OK, we settled and purchased a 2026 Ford F150 Lariat as our flat-tow behind the motor home. I see a couple of folks who are installers are close by or in Blue Ridge, GA. I am getting a hand surgery done tomorrow so we will be in the campground for a couple of months and would like to get the tow system installed while we are waiting. Does this list still look good? Plus I just noticed that the Tow Bar should be for a 2.5 Hitch. I do have a couple additions and one change for your 2026 Ford F-150 Lariat all linked below:

Base Plate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM45EQ
Tow Bar: etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate - RV Mount - 10,500 lbs # e84ZR
This is the one I changed as it's the tow bar specifically for the Roadmaster base plate. There isn't one of these that is technically for a 2.5" hitch, but you can really use any 2.5" to 2" adapter and be perfectly fine. Something like the following would work great: Trailer Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" # e26YR

Wiring: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267
You will also need a battery charge line to make sure your truck's battery isn't dead when you get to your destination: Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25
