Question:

I have 2 Beavertail Stealth 1200 duck boats that we use for hunting and fishing. They are 12foot long, 44inch wide and weigh 120 lbs each empty, and with the extra seats and some gear I would guess 140 lbs. Im looking for a boat trailer and assume, because of the width I will need J carriers. Looking at the options and Ill admit Im getting lost in all the choices, Im not seeing a trailer that would fit the need. Im also considering a top tier rack that I could mount a Jet Sled with decoys but that option would be secondary to the trailer. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Thanks for all the information and pictures Craig. To haul your Beavertail Stealth 1200 duck boats, I recommend the Malone MicroSport Trailer item # MPG460G and the etrailer Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs item # e98878.

The Malone MicroSport Trailer item # MPG460G has a 800 lbs total capacity and comes with 78" long crossbars with a combined 500 lbs capacity. The trailer itself measures 13' 3" long x 78" wide x 30" tall, weighs 197 lbs, and has a 2" coupler. It will be plenty capable of handling your two duck boats.

The etrailer Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs item # e98878 is a J style carrier with a 150 lbs capacity. It is compatible with square bars and also includes tiedowns to secure your duck boats. You'll need two of these.

For a 2-teir trailer with a top rack, you'll want the Malone 2 Tier LowBed MicroSport Trailer item # MPG464-LBT. Our etrailer Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs item # e98878 would work great with this setup as well. There's 36" of space between the two decks.
