Hi Deral,
The Tie Down Hitch Cables part # TD48VR are intended to be used with Class III trailer hitches so the S-hooks would be too small to fit around the chain loops. The hitch receiver on a 3/4-ton Chevy should be a Class V hitch and because the safety chain plates are often thick and have smaller or angled holes it makes it difficult for S-hooks to snap into them. The solution to this issue is usually using a quick link that fits through the hole in the safety chain plate and attaches to the S-hook of the safety cable. Something like the Curt Thread Quick Link with 1/2" Diameter part # C82932 would be a great heavy-duty option. It's break strength is 16,500lbs with a working load limit of 3,300lbs, when using one on each side that gives you a working load of 6,600lbs.
How much weight are you planning on towing?
