Question:

Hi - i need to get some crossbars for a 2016 Lexus LX with the integrated rails. I need the lowest possible height stack cross bars so I can have the best chance at fitting in my garage. Ill only need to have either a lo profile ski box or SUPs on the roof, but unlikely will need to have both on the roof at the same time. What might you recommend? Thanks!

Hey David.

I suggest taking a look at the Inno Aero Flush Roof Rack # IN45UR. This is a full roof rack system that includes everything you need. The bars stop at the feet rather than extend past them, and it accepts both clamp-on and channel-mounted accessories, which includes your ski box. The feet give you only 1-3/4" of additional height with the bars adding a bit more, so this is a very low-profile option for your Lexus.

How often do you get out to ski?

Got it thanks. Why the inno over the Thule wingbar? I’ve never bought an inno product always had Yakima or Thule. Thanks Dave

@DavidG I put down the Inno # IN45UR based on the low profile of the bars ending at the feet, cost efficiency, and the added security of the feet coming standard with locks. A family member of mine had their roof rack snagged while skiing one time. But if you feel more comfortable with Thule then the # TH57KG roof rack system paired with # TH450400 will give you the rack you're comfortable with, while also being able to lock it down. These racks have the same weight capacities; However, the Thule crossbars do extend past the mounting feet so that gives you a bit more room too.

@TrentG that stinks! I was actually interested in the comparison against the wingbar edge rather than the evo. How does it compare to the inno and specifically the height question? Thanks!

@DavidG The difference between the Edge # TH86ZA and the Inno # IN45UR is mainly how it mounts to the existing roof rails. The Thule Edge is for factory raised rails while the Inno is for factory flush rails. Since you have flush rails, they can't be interchanged.
