Will Furrion Chill Cube Work With Firefly Operating System

Updated 10/26/2026 | Published 10/23/2026

Question:

We have a 2024 Dynamax Xl 3801ts with GE model GE ARH15AACBL3 A/c units, and the firefly Mira operating system. In lieu of replacing the existing units with new GE units that have failed after only two years, I was looking to purchase the Furion Chill cube with heat pump. However I would like to maintain the use of my firefly system and its control over the Ac units. Is this possible using the furion ac units, which controller or do they make a controller compatible can you help with this?

Hey Tim, welcome back! The Furrion Chill Cube won't work with your existing Firefly Mira controls. Furrion uses its own proprietary control system, so you'll need to operate the AC and heat pump separately from Firefly. You'll also need to replace the complete AC system, including the air distribution box and controls, rather than just swapping out the rooftop units. Assuming you have a ducted setup you can choose from the following:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC with Heat Pump - 18K Btu - White # FR67TQ

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC with Heat Pump - 18K Btu - Black # FR97TQ

Both include the rooftop unit, air distribution box, and remote. You'll control the AC and heat pump independently using the remote instead of your Firefly system. The # FR84TQ you were looking at is just the rooftop unit, so it won't work as a direct replacement by itself.

Unless GE or Firefly has a solution right now, I don't think any of the new R32 systems are compatible with that operating system.

Did you ever make those suspension upgrades to your Dynamax? I'm curious if you were able to get that bouncy ride under control.

Thank you for the response. This is also what Dynamax has stated however they did say the GE profile ac units will work and provided the part numbers. I have listed them below, perhaps you can provide pricing for these items. In regards to the suspension, I did make some upgrades. I replaced both the front and rear shocks with king shocks, I recently installed a front sway bay, trac bar, MCU controls for the rear air bags, and have purchased a shocker hitch. This along with the previously installed steering stabilizer have completely changed the ride, and in my opinion made it wildly safer to tow our trailer. Thanks you for asking.

@TimG sounds like you've really dialed in the ride on your Dynamax, and I'm glad to hear it's made such a big difference. I'm not seeing the GE part numbers you mentioned in your comment. Can you post those again? I'll check to see if we carry them or if they're something we can add directly from GE. I'll try to check back but it probably won't be until Monday.

@TimG I heard back from GE and they said their new R32 systems are compatible with your Firefly Mira controls when paired with the GE RV-C Controller # GE77FR. GE confirmed the direct replacement for your existing AC is the standard-height # GE57FR. You'll also need a ducted installation kit for the ceiling assembly. You can choose from the following based on color: -GE Ducted Installation Kit - White # GE36FR -GE Ducted Installation Kit - Black # GE56FR Both include a standard controller and thermostat, but you'll use the # GE77FR instead to maintain Firefly control. The low-profile # GE93ZR that Dynamax recommended will also work, but it has different exterior dimensions. You'll want to check for clearance around any nearby roof vents, solar panels, or other equipment before going that route. That gives you a complete setup while keeping everything integrated with your Firefly system.
