Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can absolutely use a Detail K2 snowplow on your 2020 Ford Expedition. The Detail K2 Summit Snowplow # K2SUMM8826ELT you were looking at requires a vehicle-specific mounting kit, and Detail K2 doesn't offer one for your Expedition. The good news is that since you already have a 2" front hitch, there's a great option that mounts directly to it without needing any additional brackets or adapters.

I recommend the Detail K2 Elite Snowplow for 2" Hitches # K2AVAL8422ELT. This is an 84" wide x 22" tall snowplow that slides right into your existing front hitch receiver, making installation and removal nice and simple. It's a great setup for clearing driveways and parking areas without having to install a dedicated plow mounting system on your Expedition. Just make sure your front hitch has the proper vertical load capacity for the plow. The plow weighs 283 lbs by itself.

Is the plow more for personal use, or will you be doing more commercial type work?

Thanks for the answer to My question. I understand the K2 Elite snow plow just requires a 2” front mount hitch with pin!

@FrankM Yep, that's right! All you need is a front hitch.

I bought the Detail K2 for my GMC Canyon Denali. A little bit of work installing it and putting it together. I haven’t used it yet . Only had it about a month and the paint is bubbling up on it

@Jeff I'm sure you'll get a chance to use it here before too long. You may want to keep an eye on that paint situation and touch up any areas where bare metal gets exposed.

@Jeff That doesn't sound good. If you think there is a problem with the factory coating, it might be worth looking into a warranty claim. I could see that being normal if you'd been using it for a while, but if the coating is coming off before the first use, something may not be right.
