Normally, hitches are designed to fit a specific vehicle and will not work on another vehicle, especially those manufactured by a different company, such as your Hyundai and the 2014 Nissan Altima. Additionally, any time a vehicle has been in a serious accident and the risk of the frame being damaged, it may compromise the integrity of the hitch and is recommended that it should be replaced.
For the Altima I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 24796. This is a Class l hitch and has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch you can check out.
