Looking For Cargo Slide For 2024 GMC 2500 Short Bed With Honda Generator In The Bed

Question:

2024 GMC 2500 short.bed. Looking for a cargo slide that does not utilize full depth of truck. Reason: want to mount a portable Honda e3200i generator toward truck cab directly on truck bed because if mounted on top of cargo slide my hard tonneau cover won’t close. Need 800 to 1000lbs capacity.

How much bed space do you have available from front to back for the cargo slide, after accounting for the space you want to leave for the generator? That measurement will help me find the right size for your setup.

@JosephS Ok gotcha. Sounds like that will leave us about 68" of space to work with. For the sliding cargo trays we offer, the closest size will be a 60" long tray. In that category, the widest tray we have is 52" wide part # MR62FR. Based on the bed specs I found online, that will be cutting it very close to fitting between the wheel wells. I'd recommend double checking exactly how much space you have there, but if the 52" won't fit, you'll need to go with the next size down which is 48" wide part # MR85FR. Both trays have 60% extension and 800 lb carrying capacity.
