Hi Rem,
The only option I have for a heater for a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara with the 2.4L engine is the Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater part # KH1190. This heater must attach to a metal surface since it's magnetic, so you'll need to stick it to the lower section of the oil pan (bottom sump portion where the oil settles) that is made of stamped steel and make sure the heater is flat against the pan. The heater puts out 20 square inches of heat to help warm fluid in the engine block, keep the oil from thickening, and warms the transmission fluid so starting the car is less harsh. It plugs into a standard house 120V outlet with a three-prong plug and will of course need to be removed from the vehicle before driving.
How cold does it typically get where you live?

Thank you for the response Claire! I am looking for a direct replacement block heater that is currently installed in the vehicle. It is a thread on type element. It can get up to -30 degrees celsius here in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada.
