Is Trimming the Fascia Required for Installing the Romik REC-P Running Boards?

Hi, Just wondering if this running boards that fits 2023 Subaru Acent requires drilling or plastic trim cut as you know there are two big plastic trims cover the entire underneath of the vehicle? Best regards Saad

Hi Saad,

That's a good question! And the answer is yes, the Romik REC-P Running Boards part # RMK63FR DO require trimming of the underbody panel(s). Because of the design of the vehicle, trimming the underbody panel is required for every running board kit we have for the 2023 Subaru Ascent. I did find a video of a different set of Romik bars, the REC-B part # RMK32FR
installed on the 2023 Subaru Ascent that I've linked so you can see what it looks like on the vehicle. They're a different color but have the same 5 1/2" step width and are the same shape so it should give you a good idea.

Are you planning on getting running boards to help reach cargo on the roof or for help stepping up into the vehicle?
