Question:
How is this unit fastened down in the RV?

Hi John, the Thomas Payne Heritage RV Couch part # TP53KR is not designed to be bolted directly to the RV floor as it comes. It is designed to sit on the floor, so there are no factory mounting brackets included. The Heritage seating is also designed to be distinctly bottom heavy, with the heavier steel reclining mechanisms and frame concentrated down low. That gives it a low center of gravity and helps keep it stable while it is being used, including when fully reclined.
If you want to secure the recliner more than its own weight, you would need to add your own brackets or another method of anchoring it to the RV floor. I’d just make sure whatever mounting method you use is secured to a solid part of the RV floor and doesn’t interfere with the recliner mechanism.
Are you mainly looking to keep it from sliding around while traveling, or do you want it permanently mounted?
