Parts Needed To Install Reese 5th Wheel Rails On A 2000 Ford F350

Question:

I just bought a very nice 2000 f350 7.3 long bed I have the above bed Reese rails from a 2012 f250 and several types of hitches that I could use with it is there a set of underbed frame brackets for the 2012 top of bed rails or are the rails not the correct length etc for my new to me 2000 f350 7.3?? And which rail system would I need to use the standard reese rail hitches I have if 2012 rails wont work for 2000?

Hey Steven, thanks for reaching out. The Reese 5th wheel rails are industry standard rails. Meaning the length and hole spacing for those will be the same as any other major brand. You can absolutely re use the rails from your 2012 F250 on your 2000 F350. All you will need is a custom bracket kit, and for the 2000 F350 I recommend the following:

- Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Ford F250 and F350 # C16443

This comes with the custom frame brackets and all the necessary hardware for installing the rails. The industry standard rails will work with any 5th wheel hitch made for standard rails.

What 5th wheel hitch will you be using?
