Question:

I have 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE. Curt’s website says it fits, but your QandA says it doesn’t. Curt’s website states all models except 392 Can you please check compatibility with 2025 rubicon 4xe before I place order? Thanks

Hey Jay. I checked with Curt and their Front Hitch item # C31086 does indeed fit the 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4XE. You are correct that the only exclusion Curt has is the Rubicon 392 models.

The Curt Front Hitch item # C31086 is custom fit and comes with all hardware necessary to complete the installation. This hitch has a 2" receiver with a 9,000 lbs line pull capacity for a winch, a 350 lbs vertical load capacity for accessories like cargo carriers and bike racks, and a 3,500 lbs towing capacity for maneuvering a trailer.

This hitch was very easy to install and is very durable. There was a little bit of cutting on the plastic plate that needed to be done for the install but that could be done with a drimmel tool for a nice clean cut. I have seen some people use a metal shears to do those cuts. Either way just take a few moments to measure out things twice or three times for good measure before making the cut. The Jeep that we mounted this on the customer is using a Snow Sport snow plow in the winter and when they are not using it for that they have a recovery winch that is set up to use on this hitch. I used it for carrying bikes. It was solid and worked well but the bikes came up a bit high and bothered my view of the road. I wouldn’t hesitate to load a carry box or something lower so as not to obstruct my view. It’s a solid piece of equipment.

JAY - I have a ‘24 Rubicon and added this front hitch for many needs, incl Thule Goalpost, Warn multi-mount winch, etc. Your undercarriage has A LOT to do with how easy/difficult the hitch is to mount. I do not have plastic under my Rubi nose, it’s a steel skid plate. Some information says to discard the skid plate after removal but that is contrary to my needs for my Jeep. I cut the steel away for the fitment of the receiver shaft. I was undersized on my air compressor to operate my rotary cutter on the skid plate so it took a lot longer to get the plate cut, but time was all it took instead of buying a larger compressor. It is not an easy cutout to make because the receiver tube is running horizontal and the skid plate is running at an angle, but many ‘stop and compare’ opportunities equaled a great and snug fit of receiver behind skid plate. (Let me be clear, I REMOVED my skid plate to cut the fitment hole for adding receiver, then remounted skid plate.) I have no idea what your “E” system may have different in your undercarriage, but with my gas V6 I nothing in the way of the receiver attachments. RKS
