Hey Billy, Welcome back! This is a really great question. So Thomas Payne furniture is made from "polyhyde" and etrailer furniture like part # e77TV is made from Leathaire.

PolyHyde is described as European leather with a protective polymer coating. So there is actual leather underneath the coating.

Leathaire / Leath-Aire, on the other hand, is generally a synthetic technical fabric, not genuine leather. It's typically constructed from a fabric base with polyurethane or similar synthetic materials and is designed to mimic leather while being more breathable than conventional vinyl/PU faux leather.

So generally both are intended to look and feel somewhat similar to leather but Leathaire has benefit of being more breathable, softer feeling, and not quite as sticky feeling as leather can be. Durability is going to be about the same if not better for Leathaire as Thomas Payne had a time where their material was having tendency to peal up.
