Hello Ragunath, thanks for reaching out. The Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # SH33VR is a great fit for your 2014 BMW 328i sedan, and I definitely recommend it. During installation, the factory impact structure is removed and the Stealth Hitch crossmember installs in its place, so the original piece does not go back on the vehicle.
I understand your concern about losing that protection, but you aren't simply removing the factory structure and leaving nothing in its place. The Stealth Hitch crossmember is fully engineered, tested, and rated to take the place of the factory impact structure, so this is exactly how the hitch is designed to be installed. You get the strength and protection you need while also gaining a completely hidden hitch setup when the receiver is removed.
What will you be using the hitch for?
