Hellwig Rear Sway Bar Recommendation for 2017 Mercedes Sprinter RV Class C  

I have the HE54FR installed on my 2017 Winnebago Revel (4wd, 144 WB). It works for me. Great reduction in understeer. When I go off road, I have to disconnect it because it is too stiff for off-road usage (have to disconnect the front too). One minor point. When I installed mine, I found the supplied washers (1/8" thick) that go on either side of the bar inside of the clevis at the bottom of the end link to be too thick. I got 4x 1/16" thick SS washers at my local hardware store and everything fit fine.

I bought the largest one that fit my 2017 2500 Sprinter and put in on myself, which is relatively easy. Comparing it to the the original swaybar, this is a serious upgrade. Made for great handing. Had noticed sideways wind gusts before but this was negligible after it was installed. Also bought the front and rear bumpstops. Front was very easy to put on (just have to turn the steering wheel to the far right and left to make he site fully accessible. These also made a big difference in softening the road feel. Got the rear ones too but have not been able to put them on yet, as the are a real bear and I don't trust being under the vehicle with my stands and less-than-level work space while forcing them on, but am sure they will also improve road feel considerably when they are on, as they will make full contact with the axle to lessen the impact of irregular road surfaces.
