Question:
If I buy the Fogatti model with the heat pump, can I stop using the propane furnace?
asked by: Kevin W
Expert Reply:
Hey Kevin! I wouldn't. The Fogatti heat pump is a great way to heat your RV during cool spring and fall weather, but it isn't intended to replace your propane furnace during cold winter temperatures or freezing conditions. We have the following models available based on color:
-Fogatti InstaCool RV AC w/ Heat Pump - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - White # FG85VR
-Fogatti InstaCool RV AC w/ Heat Pump - 18K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - Black # FG72VR
The heat pump is designed to operate in outdoor temperatures down to 28°F. I guarantee you will want to turn the furnace on before it reaches that point. Your furnace may also be needed to help protect enclosed plumbing and tanks in cold weather.
Where do you normally camp during the cooler months?
