Does Length of Slide Topper Affect How Hard Slide Out Motor Works

would a 180in topper be to much drag on a slide out with schwintech motor slide out

Hey Earl, the length of the slide topper like the 180 inch part # LCV000251478 does not affect how hard the slide out motor works. A shorter or longer slide out would not have more spring tension so as long as the correct length is selected for the size of the slide out you'd be fine. The best way to pick that out is based on the length of the slide out including the flange that runs around the outside of it.
For example, this slide topper would be correct fit if the slide out measurement is between 176" - 181". What is the length of your slide out?
