Question:
I have a GE low-profile 13,500 Btu air conditioner with heat pump on my teardrop camper. Would the Flex Power 3300 be enough to run it while boondocking?

Hi Chris! Yes, the Flex Power 3,300-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # FP54FR would be a good match for the GE Appliances HE Low-Profile RV AC w/ Heat Pump # GE86RR based on the power draw you’re working with.
That GE low-profile A/C pulls about 10 to 12 amps during normal operation, which is about 1,150 to 1,380 running watts on 115V power. Its startup surge is about 20 amps, or about 2,300 starting watts. Since the # FP54FR is rated for 3,300 starting watts and 2,700 running watts, it has enough capacity to run that A/C by itself.
I’d still avoid running other high-draw appliances at the same time, like a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, or hair dryer. But for that single GE 13,500 Btu low-profile unit, Chris, the # FP54FR is the Flex Power generator I’d use. Are you planning to run the A/C mostly during the day, or overnight too?
