How Long Will It Take To Charge 48V RV Batteries With Shore Power And Victron Inverter VN95VR

Question:
How fast will the VN95VR recharge my batteries when I’m plugged into shore power?

Hey Steve, good question.
The Victron Quattro 4,000w 48v inverter # VN95VR includes a built-in charger rated up to 70 amps at 48V, so it can recharge a battery bank pretty quickly from shore power or a generator. If you have a 48v 200ah battery bank that is completely dead, it could take around 3 hours or so.
Actual charging speed depends on:
Battery size
Battery type lithium vs AGM
Available AC input power
Lithium batteries will typically accept that charge faster than lead acid. What kind and size battery bank are you working with?
