What is Overall Height of Dutton Lainson Winch part # DL17085

Question:
What is the vertical overall height of this winch from baseplate to top of plastic cover. The schematic is confusing and Im not sure it really ever shows this important information. My bass boat loads very close to the front mounting plate where this winch would set. Im concerned this winch may be too tall. Since Id have to pay for return shipping, Id like to know this height measurement. Thanks!

Hey Mike, the overall height of the Dutton Lainson Winch part # DL17085 that you referenced is 8 inches. This is the measurement from the bottom of the winch to the very top of the plastic cover. Would this height work for you?

Unfortunately no. With my bass boat trailer, I dont have enough room under the bow, with the height and length of this winch, for my boat to clear the handle operation. Thank you.
