Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement stainless steel trim kit for your Greystone Built-In Microwave. As the name suggests, this is going to replace the trim kit for the Greystone Built-In Microwave part number that you see on the screen there. It is made specifically for that model so you don't have to worry about the fit. It is going to fit perfectly. It is the stainless steel color, so it's going to match your microwave very nicely.
Of course, for those of you who are still a little skeptical, need a little further reassurance, I'll give you a few measurements here, make sure that this is going to work for your application. So our overall length looking at right about 23 and 3/8 of an inch, with the total height is right about 15 exactly. Our mounting holes, from center to center, are going to be right at, call it 22 and a quarter of an inch and right about 12 and a quarter of an inch.To get this installed, it's going to be very simple. They include the instructions to help you. They also include all the hardware that you're going to need, but essentially, you're going to slide this onto your microwave, attach it to your microwave at these two points on both sides, and then slide your microwave into your cabinet, and then attach to the cabinet with these four holes here.
It's very simple to do, so if you're in the market for a new trim kit for whatever reason, if yours got damaged or it's just looking a little tarnished or something, this is going to be the kit that you need for your microwave. This facia, replaced a year ago, has again failed after only 6 months of motoring. It has cracked in several spots as did the original facia. We will try to replace it in more time and do a better job of blocking up the base pads of the microwave than attempted last time. But everything might prove more durable & road worthy if a heavier gauge of sheet metal were used.
I’m hopeful this one will hold up better than the one purchased last year which extensively cracked after only 6 months of motoring.
