Hi Rick,

What Hyundai is referring to as raised rails are what we consider to be flush rails. We consider raised rails to be rails that have a space underneath between the bottom of the rail and the roof for the entire length of the rail. Since the rails on your 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT touch the roof along the whole length of the rail, we consider them to be flush rails. I've included a photo comparing raised and flush rails as well for reference.

When looking for crossbars for flush rails, if you want a set of crossbars with some overhang so you have more space to tie things down, I recommend the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack part # TH34QG. The rust resistant aluminum bars are 50" long, have a 165lb weight capacity, and you can use both channel mount and clamp-on accessories to attach bikes, cargo carriers, etc.

If you'd like an option that is flush to the roof (sits closer to the roof) that gives a more OEM look to blend in, then the Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack part # TH25VG. The aluminum bars have a bar length of 37" long, 165lb weight capacity, and also works with channel and clamp-on accessories.

Both crossbar systems also work with Thule's One-Key System Locks part # TH450800 which has eight lock cylinders to replace the cylinders on your crossbars and accessories so they're all keyed-alike to the same key. Got it, that clears up my confusion. Planning on carrying bikes, cargo box, SUP, and possibly canoe or kayak (not all at the same time). It looks like the Wingbar is what Hyundai sells as their OEM crossbar. Not sure, because the brand doesn't show, but features are the same. Good solid system as all Thule products are.

@RickJ I did some searching around and I agree it does look like Thule crossbars are what they're using for their OEM. Some cars had black bars and others had silver aluminum. If you want to check out the silver crossbars for your vehicle, they are the Thule WingBar Edge Roof rack part # TH88DG. They're 37 1/2" long and have the same 165lb weight capacity and One-Key System compatibility. Since they won't overhang, they'll blend in better with the roof. I also wanted to note that Thule does not recommend opening, venting, or retracting the sunroof/moonroof while the rack is mounted. This is because some sunroofs pop up and then back when retracting which could hit the crossbars.
