Is their a cover available so we dont get burned from the hot metal?

Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out. There isn’t a cover made specifically for the Easy Grip Assist Handle # PLR6624-A. The handle is bare metal, so in direct sun it can definitely get pretty warm to the touch.

A simple solution is to wrap the handle with a durable grip material. Something like self-fusing silicone tape, grip tape, or even a short section of rubber handlebar wrap works well and holds up much better than basic electrical tape. These add a layer of insulation so the handle stays comfortable to grab and they also improve grip when your hands are wet or the handle is hot.

That or you could try a short piece of rubber hose or foam grip sleeve slid over the handle and secured in place.

What kind of camper or RV are you using the handle on?

Thank you Jesse, we have a 2004 Lazy Daze 30IB. The original grab handle is very small. I was hoping there was a cover like Etrailer sells which zippers on. I'm going to try something else.
