Can Controlled Motion Hinge for Lippert Entry Door be Used on Coleman Destiny  

First. Thank you so much for your expertise and knowledge, and your willingness to share that knowledge and experience with us! I have a 2010 Coleman Destiny series Soldatna tent trailer. It has a stepper door entry. I have recently done and SOA spring over axle conversion from you guys, thanks much! to allow me to mount 14inch wheels and tires compared to the original dangerous! 12inch wheels and tires. Im very happy with the results, but for one problem. The down stepper doorinch now does not clear the tire. It binds on the tire and does not down enough to allow the proper access to the interior. I think you get the idea...... the door hits the tire before it s down enough to be a step into the trailer. In my effort to remedy this, I decided that I can cut the bottom parts compartment and hinges off of the entry door and convert it to a side swinging entry door Ill add collapsible steps to compensate for the stepper door being no longer usable. Therefore, Im looking at door side hinges and am wondering if the controlledinch 5 or 6 point hinges would work for this application. I think they would work out quite well. Your thoughts and expert advice? Hopefully, the pics I have transmitted as intended. Thanks again! Robert
