I can definitely help you out with this. The Curt harness part # C55344 is a custom harness for your 2002 Ford Van E-150 that will T in and give you a 4-flat. From there you will also need to pick up kit part # ETBC7. This will plug into the Curt harness # C55344 and then give you everything else you need to install and have both a 4-flat and a 7-way on your Ford Van.

It looks like you were looking at the Tekonsha POD brake controller part # 39523. I know you said you wanted something affordable but it may be worth it to pick up the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller part # TK90160 instead. The POD is a time delayed controller and the Primus IQ is a proportional brake controller. I've put a short explanation below between the two types on controllers.

- Time delayed brake controller: Sends braking power after a short delay, increasing at a preset rate. Brakes the same no matter if your are coming to a hard stop or a slow stop. In most cases will cause a tug and pull sensation if you are to let off the brake and press down on the brake again.

- Proportional brake controller: Applies braking power in direct proportion to how hard or light you depress on the brake peddle. This helps create a smoother and more natural braking.

If this isn't a concern or worry for you then you can definitely go with the Tekonsha POD brake controller.
