Hey Jim,

The Safety Step Adjustable Height, Folding Platform Step # SASA-10C-G is made in China. However, the folks at Safety Step do quality checks here in the US at their facilities in Virginia and Ohio.

What are you looking to use a step for?

It will be used as an additional step for my truck camper. Depending on the location and how the camper is positioned, the first step can be a bit High. This will make it easier to reach. I’m concerned about the quality and strength of the safety step as it could be really bad if it were to collapse. My wife and I are pushing 70! and a fall from a collapsed step could be game over

@JimM I hear ya, some cheap steps can feel wobbly and make you uncomfortable using them day to day. This step does have those quality checks like I mentioned before, so integrity-wise they're going through the same checks as steps made in the US. Also, each leg adjusts independently which helps big time when you're dealing with wonky ground right outside the door to your camper. I would recommend this step to my mom who's in her 60's.

@JimM Jim…..the thing is bomb proof. Unless one of the legs is in snow, soft sand or mut there will be no problem.

Jim these things are very sturdy, the only thing to watch out for is they can trap a little water in the rain. I highly recommend if you want a heavy duty step

We love the step. It is very sturdy and easy to use. The last step on our RV is high sometimes and that is why I bought it . My wife is handicapped and it helps her a lot. As for sturdy I am around 300 lbs and it doesn't move.

My wife absolutely loves this step. The fact that the height of the legs are able to be set individually is a huge plus. Our camper steps are high off the ground and this has made getting in and out of our camper much easier for my wife who has one bad knee and one knee replacement. It makes it easier for grandkids too. I don’t know why we waited so long to purchase this step! I have no qualms about recommending this step.
