Hello Jim, good question. No, the screen on the Westin HDX Grille Guard with Punch Plate # 57-3705 does not negatively affect engine cooling in any meaningful way. These brush guards are designed with airflow in mind, and the mesh or bars in front of your radiator are spaced so that normal engine cooling is preserved. They block small debris and help protect the front end, but they don’t restrict airflow enough to cause overheating under normal driving conditions.
