Cheers, I have a jet ski trailer with 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 square tubing on the tongue. Is this part designed to slide inside by existing tubing after I cut off the hitch? Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler with 30inch Extension - 2inch Receivers - Trailer Side - 11K Part Number: 336TS526

Hey Scott. The Lock N Roll item # 336TS526 you were looking at isn't designed for that but I have something that is. For a 2-1/2 square tongue you'll want the Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler item # 336TS506. This will bolt directly to the top of your trailer's tongue and provide you with Lock N Roll's unique articulating connection. You can weld it on too.
You will need one of the following ball mounts to connect to the Lock N Roll item # 336TS506:
Lock N Roll Articulating Hitch for 2" Receivers - 2-1/2" Drop/Rise - Vehicle Side - 11K item # 336VS511
Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Hitch for 2" Receivers - Vehicle Side - 11,000 lbs item # 336VS501

I am also looking to extend my tongue the 30" that the extension offers. The coupler offers a solution to 1/2 of what i need. I hear you when you say is not designed for that specific purpose, but it is designed to fit inside a 2" receiver correct?
