Question:

I want to use this heater for a water bay compartment in my RV Can it be used with an in-line thermostat and if so do you also sell the thermostat? Will it need to be manually turned on every time the 12 volt power cuts off on the unit causing it not to work with a thermostat?

Hey John. The Rampage Radiant Backseat Heater item # RA3501 is powered off of 12v and has a simple three function switch. You could definitely wire a in line thermostat to control when the heater runs. We do no not carry that type of switch though.

How low does the temperature get in your RV's water bay compartment?

Hey Jarred, thanks for the answer and question. The temperature will probably hit the zeros. I am looking to use the rv at a ski resort and and also adding a heat shield to the interior. I will only need to keep the temperature between 35 and 40 degrees with the heater.

@Freeriding You're welcome. The Rampage Radiant Backseat Heater item # RA3501 isn't going to do much in zero degree temps even with shielding. You'll want to use a larger heater like the Zerostart Vehicle Interior Heater with Fan item # ZE67FR. You can power it through a 120v outlet controlled by a switch but you can't install an inline switch.
