Which Rest Easy Sofa Bed Is Comfortable For Sleeping In Motorhome?

Question:

We’re full-timing and need something comfy enough for nightly sleeping. Which Rest Easy model do you recommend?

Good morning Nick.

For long-term sleeping, the Dellmead # TP49KR tends to win out because of its softer woven fabric and breathable feel. The Driftwood # TP69KR and McCoy # TP79KR both use the same high-density foam, but the PolyHyde surface feels a touch firmer over time and in my mind is fiine for sitting, but not as ideal for sleeping when compared to the Dellmead fabric. Add a 1-inch memory topper and you’ll have a surprisingly cozy bed setup though.

Do you usually leave it in bed mode overnight or fold it up each morning?

Appreciate that, Andrew. We tried it a few nights and the Dellmead fabric really does breathe better. Might grab that topper like you mentioned - the stock cushion’s a little firm for nightly use but good overall for lounging and watching movies. thanks.

@Nick Glad to hear that, Nick - a thin topper makes a huge difference for full-time use. The foam core holds shape well, so once it breaks in a little it’ll feel more like a real mattress. I'd try using it a few more times to see if it gets a bit less firm for sleeping on it often.
