Does the Kat's Heaters Handi-Heater Start Heating When Plugged in?
Updated 12/01/2025 | Published 10/28/2025 >
Question:
on the Kat or the zerostart magnetic heaters, do they start heating when they are plugged into outlet or will they not come on until the surround temperature is at a certain degrees. I know they will auto cut on and off when they get so hot. Thanks Gary

Hey Gary!
The Kat's Heaters Handi-Heat Magnum Magnetic Heater # KH1190 will start to heat up as soon as you plug it in. There is that max temp sensor for safety, but it's not a working thermostat that starts and shuts off within a range of temperatures.
Were you planning on leaving it on your vehicle long term during the winter?
