Updated 10/23/2025 | Published 10/21/2025

Question:

I currently have P198/75R14 925 M+S installed on my boat trailer. The boats dry weight is 2300 pounds. I would like to know what equivalent I can get.

Hey Giovanni, thanks for reaching out!

Your P198/75R14 tires are going to be for a vehicle so we'll want to get you setup with trailer tires so they can better handle the load.

The 205/75R14 is the closest size to what you currently have, so I recommend picking up the Tamarack with a 14" Liger Wheel # CR39ZR for a few reasons. Not only does the wheel look sleek and the tire have great quality (backed by a warranty), but the combo comes with balancing beads so the tire will be balanced as you're heading down the road.

What boat trailer do you have?

Is there a less expensive option?

@GiovanniP Absolutely! For a less expensive solution I recommend checking out the Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with 14" Silver Mod Wheel # KE65EV. It's not as fancy as the one I recommended above, but it will still get the job done!
