Question:
I have a triple-axle gooseneck trailer with 8-lug hubs. Would the MXS27FR be strong enough?

Expert Reply:
Yes, Tina, as long as your trailer runs 6K axles or lower, the # MXS27FR Load Range E, 3,420 lbs @ 80 psi will handle it just fine. For heavier 7K+ axles, go with the # MXS79FR G-rated version instead. Both are pre-mounted and fit the same bolt pattern. One more benefit for the # MXS79FR is that it comes pre-balanced as well (internal balancing bead technology).
Do you know what your trailer’s GAWR shows on the VIN tag, or the axle rating? That’ll confirm which one fits your use best.
