Troubleshooting Install of Curt Hitch on Lexus NX 300h

Question:
Hi! I purchased C12172 for my Lexus NX300h and I am not sure it fits! The mounting plate of the exhaust pipe seems to be protruding past the beam to which the hitch receiver needs to be bolted. I couldn’t get both sides of the hitch to fit.
