Can Empire Faucets RV Shower EM63HR Replace Handheld Style Shower
Updated 10/13/2025 | Published 10/09/2025 >
Question:
Hi, my RV shower only has the handheld shower head with the hose. It does not have the standalone shower head. I want to replace mine with this one. I still want to buy this one because of the temperature control feature, but my question is, can I install it with my showers configuration it only has the handheld shower head - will there be an extra fitting that I will have to close off somehow? Thanks so much for your help. Denise

Hey Denise, the shower head of the # EM63HR is designed to attach to a water line that would be behind the wall of the shower. If you right now you just have a diverter down low that has a hose you have mounted up higher you'd have to run some water lines behind the wall of the shower stall to use the # EM63HR like it was intended. Is that something you'd be open to?

My RV shower faucet plumbing is actually on the outside of the shower wall. I think it should be a fairly easy replacement but I think I would need to plug up the top water outlet which normally would go to the shower head which it does not have. Is there a way to do that? The current shower faucet just has the hose coming out the bottom attached to a handheld shower head, Can I send you a photo? Thank you so much for your help!
