Question:
Does the ME63FR come pre-calibrated, or do I have to mess with that before first use?

Javier, the Meyer walk behind spreader # ME63FR is pre-calibrated from the factory, but Meyer does suggest checking the port opening once in a while. Just set the control to “B,” flip the on/off lever open, and make sure the bottom gate is just cracked open. If it’s not, you loosen the pointer screw, align the pointer to “B,” and retighten - takes 30 seconds. Most users never need to adjust it, but it’s worth a quick look each season.
Have you used other broadcast spreaders before? Calibration feels intimidating but it’s actually super quick once you’ve done it once. Broadcast spreaders are much more consistent and have a bigger and better spread than drop style spreaders.
