Question:
What’s the difference between this ME43FR and the stainless ME63FR? Trying to decide if the upgrade is worth it.

Expert Reply:
Phil, the main difference is durability. The # ME43FR uses a powder-coated steel frame and steel parts, with poly carbon hopper, while the # ME63FR swaps all metal parts for stainless steel - so no chipping or rust, even with daily salt use. The # ME63FR also has beefed up parts that are heavier duty.
They both have the same poly carbon plastic 70-lb hopper, enclosed gearbox, pneumatic tires, and adjustable gate control. If you’re spreading often or storing outdoors, stainless pays for itself in a few seasons.
Do you spread commercially or just for home use?
