Does the magnet risk scratching paint on a finished panel?

Julie, the magnet itself is smooth on the Slim Work Light # PT47RR, but if there’s grit it could scratch, so it’s best to wipe the area or use the hook. It's also best not to slide it around; just set it and forget it until you need to pull it off the metal surface.
