Many RV roofs have separate antennas for TV and internet. Air 360+ combines over-the-air TV with the rooftop components needed for compatible Winegard WiFi and cellular systems, so one antenna does more than just receive local broadcasts.
Air 360+ 5G receives local VHF, UHF, and FM signals from every direction, so you don't have to manually aim the antenna before scanning for available channels. Turn on your TV, run a channel scan, and see what's broadcasting nearby. Run another scan whenever you change locations so your TV can find the channels available in the new area. The amplified antenna receives compatible over-the-air TV signals from towers up to 55 miles away, while built-in 4G LTE filtering helps reduce unwanted cellular interference with TV reception. ATSC 3.0 readiness supports NEXTGEN TV broadcasts as local stations transition to the newer standard.
The Air 360+ 5G already has the rooftop WiFi and 5G/4G LTE antennas needed by a compatible Winegard Gateway 4G or Winegard Gateway 5G (WG37BJ and WG97BJ - sold separately). Add a Gateway to turn those antennas into an RV internet system for cellular service and available campground WiFi. Gateway 5G is required for 5G service. The router mounts inside the RV directly below the Air 360+ 5G, where the built-in antenna cables connect to it.
You don't have to install a Gateway at the same time as the antenna. The included 10' Gateway power cable, power switch, wall plate, and prewire hole cover let you prepare the RV during the antenna installation, then add the router later without starting the roof installation over. Before choosing the antenna location, make sure the 5 built-in WiFi/5G cables can reach the planned Gateway location directly below the antenna.
Choose a roof location that can securely support the antenna and leaves at least 24" from the center of the antenna to the front of the RV and 18" from the center to the roof edge and nearby obstructions. The coax cables need to enter the roof beneath the perimeter of the antenna instead of exiting under the flange so the base can seal correctly. If you're preparing for a Gateway, the roof opening needs to be 1" to 3", with a ceiling opening no larger than 1" directly below it. You'll also want Butyl tape and self-leveling lap sealant (AL66FJ and DC94SR - sold separately) beneath the flange and around the base and 6 mounting screws to help prevent water intrusion.
A built-in satellite connection lets you route a compatible Winegard domed satellite antenna through the Air 360+ 5G installation instead of creating another cable entry. Compatible antennas tested by Winegard include the DISH Playmaker (WG87BJ - sold separately), Pathway X1, Carryout G2+, and Carryout G3. The satellite antenna must be mounted at least 6' from the Air 360+ 5G and connected with coax that has weatherproof connectors.
