How strong is the hook-and-loop pad? I’ve had cheap ones that fling off mid-use.

Terry, this one is built solid. The backer pad in the # PT39NJ has a 1/4inch hex fitting for your drill and a heavy-duty hook-and-loop surface. Once you press the pad on, it holds firm even under pressure. That’s a big upgrade over generic foam pads that tend to slip.
Have you mainly used these for polishing paint, or are you thinking about trying them on glass or interior plastics too?
