Question:
Can the drill brushes in this kit scratch my car’s clear coat if I use them with a cordless drill? just wondering if I should be cautious about it.

Jason, you’re right to be cautious when using the Performance Tool Car Detailing Kit with Power Drill Compatible Brushes # PT39NJ. You wont want to use the drill-powered bristle brushes on painted/clear-coated exterior panels they can mar the finish. Save those for interiors upholstery, carpet and hard, non-painted surfaces like glass, tile, and fiberglass.
For paint, stick with the included foam hook-and-loop pads they mount to the 1/4inch hex backer to apply polish and wax, and do your wash/dry with the microfiber mitt and towels since they’re gentle and won’t scratch.
Are you working mostly on interiors or trying to restore your exterior finish first?
