I am looking for recommended sway bar recommendations. I have a 2019 Ram Laramie 1500 towing a 2023Cougar 22RBS halfton. Right now i am wothout a swaybar. I have only been camping local but for one trip. That trip could have felt safer and been more comfortable i think. There are no holes on the frame for it, i bought the camper new. No offer for the units were offered. Yay, Camping World. If there are places to install , i would be greatful.

Hello! Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are looking for a weight distribution (WD) system for your 2023 Cougar 22RBS. If so, we do have great options for this. The correct WD system will depend on your loaded tongue weight. According to the online specs you camper has a dry tongue weight of 630 lbs. This does not include fuel or batteries though so typically if you add about 150 lbs to the dry tongue weight you get a fairly accurate figure which would be like around 800 lbs loaded tongue weight. You could always take you camper to a weigh station, or use a tongue weight scale like part # BTBRV44FR to confirm this. As long as you are around 800 lbs tongue weight, I recommend the following:
- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # EQ90-00-1000
This will work on trailers with a tongue weight between 600 and 1,000 lbs, and your camper should easily fall within this range at all time. This is a 4-point system which is great for ride leveling and sway control. Just keep in mind the sway brackets must be placed between 27" and 32" back from the hitch ball. Please measure your trailer frame and make sure there are no obstruction in this area.

Hey, did you have a chance to measure your trailer frame to see if there are any obstructions for the sway brackets? I'm asking because it could help others who are setting up their trailers for a safer ride.
