Question:
I’m swapping out an old, rusty cam latch on my 2004 Haulmark. Are the rods on this 45inch version pre-bent, or do I need to weld them myself?

Carl, good news. The rods on the # M343FR are straight and come ready to install with their ends already fit into the keepers. You don’t need to bend or weld anything - the cam action happens when the straight rods rotate inside the keeper brackets to pull the door tight. It’s a straightforward replacement project. This is the same for the 36" # M393FR and 55" # M363FR versions as well. You will use carriage bolts and nuts/washers from a local hardware store.
Is your old latch mounted on a side door or the rear barn doors? If barn doors, you'll need two.
And for anyone else doing this kind of project, how did your install go - straight swap or did you have to drill new holes?
